Chinese drama 'The Empress of China' taken off air for being 'too sexy'
TV broadcaster HNTV has stopped airing the popular Chinese TV drama "???" (The Empress of China) because it's been deemed too racy, according to sources. The show drew a great deal of fanfare prior to its release as it stars a score of popular names including Fan bingbing, Zhang Junning, Zhang Ting and Zhou Haimei and is also said to one of the most expensive Chinese TV shows ever produced. Shortly after the first episode aired on December 21 this year, however, HNTV announced that "The Empress" would be temporarily be taken off the air and would not be broadcast again till January next year.
